Standards
Editorial standards
Independence
- No sponsorships. No posts, sections, or calls-to-action paid for by any party.
- No affiliate links. Our app and device links go direct to the App Store, Play Store, or vendor site without tracking parameters.
- No free review hardware. We buy the watches, the rings, the CGMs, and the apps we review. If this ever changes, we'll disclose it.
- No comped paid subscriptions. If a paid tier of an app matters to a review, we subscribe out of pocket.
Disclosure
- If a writer used to work at, or currently consults for, a vendor we're reviewing, the article discloses that up top.
- If we've received hardware or a subscription under any non-retail arrangement (a gift, a loan), we'll disclose it.
- Neither current contributor has undisclosed relationships with any of the vendors mentioned on the site.
Sourcing
- Specific firmware versions, OS versions, and app versions are named whenever they determine an outcome.
- Citations to vendor claims (like accuracy figures) link to the vendor's own methodology page or reference.
- Citations to scientific literature (e.g. wearable accuracy studies) name the study or pointer when we use its conclusions.
Corrections
- Factual errors are fixed inline with a dated editorial note.
- Material score changes are logged in the article's "What changed" section.
- If a vendor updates an integration and a matrix cell changes, we update the matrix's "last verified" date and note what changed.
- Send corrections to editors@wearablesnutrition.com.
Funding
WearablesNutrition is funded by its founders. If that ever changes — an investor, a subscription model, anything — we'll disclose it on this page and at the top of the site.
